Overview

Current integrated workbook: build 1.2. References to v.632b, Rev 04, and Substreams 2/4 identify historical source builds only.

The two source workbooks — AI Project Cost-Investment Model v.632b (Substream 2) and AIPM Financial Decision Dashboard Rev 04 (Substream 4) — were combined and streamlined into one workbook. The cost model builds the investment case; the dashboard governs the funding decision against evidence over time. No inputs, assumptions, or decision formulas were changed — each engine keeps its own logic. This summary lists everything added, removed, moved, or edited relative to the two originals.

BeforeTwo separate workbooks — AI Project Cost-Investment Model v.632b (Substream 2, 10 tabs) and AIPM Financial Decision Dashboard Rev 04 (Substream 4, 10 tabs + 2 charts + 1 macro).
AfterOne combined, streamlined workbook — 17 tabs (10 visible working tabs + 7 hidden calculation/reference helpers), delivered as a clean macro-free .xlsx with one navy & slate house style and a new Start_Here front page.

How to read the tab tables

Each source tab is color-coded by what happened to it:

  • Retained (kept, visible)
  • Hidden (kept but hidden — runs calculations behind the scenes)
  • Moved (changed position or visibility)
  • Edited
  • Removed
  • New

Substream 2 — AI Project Cost-Investment Model v.632b

Ten source tabs. No inputs or formulas were changed; edits were cosmetic, plus visibility/position moves and one removal.

TabDispositionWhat happened
Read_MeRemovedOperating guide, superseded by the new Start_Here front page.
Project_InputsRetained · visibleMaster inputs. Formulas unchanged; cosmetic edit only (banner, font, gridlines, tab colour).
Cost_Model_TemplateRetained · visibleBuild + 3-year run cost engine. Unchanged. Cosmetic only.
Worked_Example_ChatGPTHiddenFeeds the ROI cost toggle. Unchanged; hidden to reduce clutter (load-bearing — not deleted).
Cost_ReferenceHiddenCost taxonomy / hidden-cost detail. Unchanged; hidden.
Benefits_ReferenceHiddenBenefits reference and soft-value proxies. Unchanged; hidden.
AI_vs_Non-AI_ComparisonRetained · visibleAI vs current-state vs non-AI option check. Unchanged. Cosmetic only.
ROI_BenefitsRetained · visibleTCO, ROI, NPV, scenarios, recommendation. Formulas unchanged; now also feeds the Start_Here snapshot. Cosmetic only.
Cost_ControlsMoved · unhiddenWas hidden in the source; moved into the visible governance section. Content unchanged.
Change_LogMoved · rewrittenWas hidden in the source; made visible and expanded with this build summary. Original cost-model version history preserved as Part 2.

Substream 4 — AIPM Financial Decision Dashboard Rev 04

Ten source tabs plus two charts, one macro, 48 defined names and the LAMBDA decision logic. The charts and logic are unchanged; the macro and three tabs were removed.

TabDispositionWhat happened
CoverRemovedDashboard operating guide, superseded by the new Start_Here front page.
KPI LogsRetained · visiblePrimary evidence entry. Unchanged; 13 dropdown validations preserved. Cosmetic only.
KPI Review MatrixRemovedMulti-period trend table removed as redundant — the Dashboard already shows per-KPI trend and KPI Logs holds the full review history.
KPI Entry FormRemovedMacro-driven form deleted with its VBA macro, form button, VML and comments — log evidence directly into KPI Logs.
DashboardRetained · visibleDecision board, 2 charts, and LAMBDA decision logic all unchanged. Now feeds the Start_Here snapshot. Cosmetic only.
Review LogsRetained · visibleHuman decision record. Unchanged. Cosmetic only.
Master ListsHiddenValidation lists that drive every dropdown. Unchanged; hidden (load-bearing — not deleted).
SourcesHiddenEvidence / source-artifact register. Unchanged; hidden.
KPIs TableHiddenKPI backbone that feeds every Dashboard formula. Unchanged; hidden (load-bearing — not deleted).
Logic RulesHiddenDecision-rule and hard-gate documentation. Unchanged; hidden.

Additions (from neither source)

ItemDetail
Start_Here tabNew front page: live snapshots of both decisions (pulled from ROI_Benefits and the Dashboard), a tab map, the lifecycle phase guide, and ownership / edit rules.
House-style layerUniform Source Serif 4 font, gridlines off, section-grouped tab colours, navy title banners on key tabs, and currency / percent number formats on Start_Here.
Integration bridgeStart_Here formulas that read the Investment Case figures from ROI_Benefits and the Lifecycle figures from the Dashboard, so nothing is entered twice.

Deletions

ItemDetail
4 tabsRead_Me and Cover (guides, superseded by Start_Here); KPI Review Matrix (redundant trend view); KPI Entry Form (macro form).
The macro and its metadataThe KPI Entry Form macro, plus its form button, VML, comments and all macro-related metadata, were removed so the workbook is a clean macro-free .xlsx that opens with no enable-content or recovery prompt.
Cached calc chainDropped so Excel rebuilds it on open. Technical only — no effect on results.

Moves

MoveDetail
Reordered all tabsBoth sources’ tabs were resequenced into one lifecycle order: leadership views, then cost engine, then governance and evidence, then reference.
Cost_Controls & Change_LogMoved from hidden (in their source files) to visible — Cost_Controls into the governance section, Change_Log into reference.
7 helper tabs hiddenWorked_Example_ChatGPT, Benefits_Reference, Cost_Reference, KPIs Table, Logic Rules, Master Lists and Sources were moved to hidden (they run calculations and dropdowns behind the scenes).

Not changed: No inputs, assumptions, rates, KPI readings, or decision formulas were altered. All formulas, the two Dashboard charts, the defined names and LAMBDA decision logic, the data validations, and the conditional formatting are preserved. Forecast figures (cost model) and logged-evidence figures (dashboard) legitimately differ — that gap is the point of governing forecast against reality.

What this means for each substream

AudienceWhat to know
Substream 2 (Cost Model)Every cost-model tab is intact — same formulas, dropdowns, conditional formatting. ROI_Benefits also feeds the Start_Here snapshot. Your full version history is preserved in the Change_Log tab (Part 2). Worked_Example_ChatGPT, Cost_Reference and Benefits_Reference are hidden, not removed.
Substream 4 (Decision Dashboard)The Dashboard, KPI logic, charts and decision rules are unchanged and remain the single source of the lifecycle recommendation. The macro-driven KPI Entry Form was removed — log evidence directly into KPI Logs. KPIs Table, Master Lists, Logic Rules and Sources are hidden helpers, not removed.
